Affirmation of  Faith

 

 

I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth; maker of all that is seen and unseen.

 

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only begotten son who is one with the Father.

 

I believe that He was fully human, yet fully divine.

 

I believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilot, was crucified, died and was buried.

 

I believe He descended into hell and on the third day He rose again from the dead.

 

I believe that in accordance with the scripture, He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

 

I believe He will come again to judge the living and the dead and, His kingdom will have no end.

 

I believe in the Holy Ghost, who was sent as our comforter, to guide us into all truth, spoken of by the prophets and is ever present, dwelling among us.

 

I believe in the gifts of the spirit, that were sent to edify the church.

 

I believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, the communion of saints.

 

I believe in the forgiveness of sin through confession and repentance, salvation through faith and sanctification through grace.

 

I believe in the resurrection from the dead and life everlasting.
